DAVID WICKERHAM

SUNDAY, JULY 10, 2005

Dave Wickerham was born in Encino, California in 1962. He began playing the electronic organ at the age of four, started his musical education at age seven, and played his first theatre organ when he was only ten years old.

Dave moved to Arizona in 1976, and became Associate Organist at the famous Organ Stop Pizza Restaurants in Phoenix, Mesa and Tucson. While in Arizona, he continued his musical studies with Roseamond Crowley, one of the few remaining descendants of the Louis Vierne line of organists. Dave attended the University of Arizona in Tucson on a fully scholarship, pursuing classical organ studies for six years with Dr. Roy Johnson.

In 1984 Dave moved to the Chicago area to become Staff Organist at Pipes and Pizza in Lansing, Illinois. In addition to his performances at Pipes and Pizza, he maintained a busy concert schedule and ministered musically at various churches.

Dave, his wife and two young children moved to Wisconsin in 1990 where he was one of the featured Staff Organists at the Piper Music Palace in Greenfield, a position he held for 10 years. Dave spent a year and a half in Las Vegas as featured organist at Roxy’s Pipe Organ Pizzeria, after which he returned to Wisconsin, and resume his position at the Piper Music Palace and became the principal organist at Williams Bay Luther Church in Lake Geneva, WI.

Dave maintains a busy schedule and recently accepted the position of Resident Organist at the Milhous Collection and Museum in Boca Raton, Florida.

Dave Wickerham is an outstanding and exciting musical artist. The River City Theatre Organ Society welcomes his return to the Omaha area where he wowed and thrilled us at his concert last year. Thanks Dave for taking time to schedule another exciting event in Omaha.
