Dulces Voces (Sweet Voices) is a vocal ensemble specializing
in the performance of secular and sacred music composed before 1750. The group has an eclectic repertoire spanning periods from chant and Burgundian motets to
Monteverdi and Purcell. Dulces Voces is comprised of a group of singers based in Lincoln, Nebraska. The ensemble performs mostly a cappella music. The group has no conductor or advisor, therefore it draws on its members for repertoire and performance practice. The members of Dulces Voces come from varying backgrounds and professions, but all members have a profound love for the music performed. Dulces Voces' premier performance was a concert produced by Musica Antiqua of Lincoln in April of 1993, called A Joyful Noise, at St. Mark's on the Campus Episcopal Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. In September of 1994, Dulces Voces took part in a benefit concert produced by Musica Antiqua for NET Radio (formerly the Nebraska Public Radio Network), portions of which were aired on the NET Radio show, Sound Stage. In March of 2000 the group performed in the world premiere of a piano work by contemporary composer, Victoria Bond. Since December of 2000, their Christmas concerts have been aired annually on NET Radio's Nebraska Concerts. In April of 2001, the group traveled with Paul Barnes to perform a new work as part of the Cutting Edge Arts series of the Greenwich House in New York City. In 2003 the group worked with the Sacred Arts Council of Lincoln and Tyler White to premier White's new work De Profundis, a setting of Psalm 130.
