Jeremy Bankson will lead a workshop demonstrating new organ literature for the Region VI AGO Convention in June 2007.

Jeremy Bankson Jeremy J. Bankson is the Associate Director of Music at Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He directs the Junior Choir, Handbell Choirs, and is the Associate Director for the Chancel and Youth Choir. Additionally Jeremy administers the K-6 Music and Drama Enrichment Program and serves as one of two parish organists. In addition to his duties at Trinity, Jeremy teaches privately and is an Associate Faculty member at Indiana-Purdue University in Fort Wayne.

Jeremy is active as a composer and arranger and is published with MorningStar Music Publishers, Concordia Publishing House and Augsburg Fortress Press. He has led hymn festivals, workshops, and worship services for the American Guild of Organists, and Association of Lutheran Church Musicians. Some of Jeremy’s work can be heard on the Compact Disc “Sing With All the Saints in Glory” A live recording of a hymn festival featuring the choirs of Trinity English Lutheran Church, congregation and a 32 piece professional orchestra.

Before moving to Fort Wayne, Jeremy was the Director of Music and Organist at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice, Nebraska. In addition to his work at the church, he taught piano and organ privately as well as being a part-time keyboard instructor at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. Jeremy received his Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he studied with Dr. Quentin Faulkner and Dr. George Ritchie.

Jeremy is currently the Vice-President for Region 1 of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians and in the past has served as a member of the executive board of the Fort Wayne Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He is also a member of the Royal School of Church Music, American Choral Directors Association and the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers.
