Katelyn Emerson, the winner of the 2016 American Guild of Organists (AGO) National Young Artists’ Competition, will be performing at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha on Friday, April 21st at 7:30 p.m. As a multiple award winner, Emerson has secured her place as a performer not to be missed.

She travels throughout the United States and Europe showcasing her repertoire from the 14th through 21st centuries. As a recipient of the prestigious J. William Fulbright Study/Research Grant, Katelyn studied at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Toulouse, France for the 2015-2016 academic year with Michel Bouvard, Jan Willem Jansen, and Yasuko Uyama-Bouvard.

Not only does she perform alone, in September 2016, Ms. Emerson joined the staff of the Church of the Advent (Boston, MA) as Associate Organist and Choirmaster, where she plays the historic Aeolian-Skinner organ and works with the professional Choir and the volunteer Parish Choir.

Critics hail Emerson as one of her generation’s top organ performers.
